2019 Review

As 2019 comes to an end I would like to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings I had this year.

(My biggest accomplishment for myself and personal goal this year was to hit publish on this blog!!)

This year was especially important to me as it is the year that I said I Do to the man I love. Now to start out that way is a bit bold but for those of you who have read my blogs from my past know that it has been a rough few years and I honestly never thought I would ever marry again. I am so thankful I said yes when he asked in October of 2018. Our love for each other continues to grow. We both compliment each other so well. This man is so uplifting and positive. He reminds me that I can do all things I put my mind to no matter what obstacles get thrown my way.

One of my most cherished memories from 2019 is our wedding ceremony. It was such a magical day. That day will forever be etched in my memory. I also loved that so many of our family and friends were there to join us on that special day. June 8, 2019 we said I Do!! We also pulled off the first ever All Keto Wedding. I am so incredibly proud of that. That is also the day I reached my goal weight thanks to SlimFast.

I also loved that I was able to travel back to Sam’s hometown this year. We went for a very sad ceremony as someone near and dear to their family had passed away. That part of the trip was sad but in the moment it was so special. Even the message given at the ceremony was so inspirational and touching. During that very quick trip I was able to meet his brother and sisters. I was so nervous to meet them for the first time. I thought what if they don’t like me, we are supposed to get married in a few months. It ended up being so much fun. They were all so welcoming and put me at ease the entire time. Sam drove us around his hometown and showed me some of his most cherished memories and places. I loved watching the joy in his face as he shared those moments with me. I was even more excited when we went through childhood photos. You all know how much I love photos.

A few highlights from the year that I would like to share with you through photos are,

Watching Friday night football games watching these three.

Flying relief items to the Bahamas.

Letting Mackenzie fly to Jamaica for a Missions Trip alone.

Ziplining and visiting the beautiful country of Roatan.

Going on our Honeymoon, Sam’s first cruise.

Visiting friends and trying new things.

Meeting Rachel Platten

Being featured in magazines and online articles (Thanks to SlimFast and My Keto Wedding)

First ever SlimFast Together Retreat

Going to New York and being on Live News to share the love of SlimFast

Addison and Caela getting married and moving to Hawaii… (so incredibly proud of these two)

Welcoming baby Waylon into the family.

Started my lessons to become a pilot.

Many amazing trips and memories with our 4-H Outdoor Adventures Club

There is many more positive things that happened in 2019 that I have not shared today. That does not mean they were not important or had less meaning. These are just the memories that were bursting in my heart this morning as I was reflecting on our year.

Now I did not choose to write about the negative this year, but please know that my life was not all flowers and rainbows. I actually endured some major trauma and tragedy in 2019. I had to go through things I didn’t think I was going to make it through. But with God by my side, my family, and an amazing therapist I made it. I am now a stronger woman because of what happened in 2019!

As for the new year ahead, I am setting personal goals for myself that I will share throughout the year. I have some new opportunities that have presented themselves and I can not wait to share them with you very soon.

The one reminder that I want to leave here is that I still struggle with self confidence and the need to feel accepted. You must first love yourself and you must know that you are enough and worthy of great things. It does not matter what anyone thinks of you, you should be doing things in life to please God, yourself, and your family. That is all that matters.

So, to close out 2019 REMEMBER

YOU ARE ENOUGH

YOU ARE WORTHY

ALWAYS CHOOSE FAITH OVER FEAR

DO NOT LISTEN TO WHAT OTHERS THINK OF YOU, THEIR OPINIONS DO NOT MATTER!!!
